‘Jackson’ Toy Roundabout

Built in this country just after WW2 this ride is very rare in retaining all its original toys, giving children a wide choice from being a passenger in a double deck bus to riding a motorcycle!
Horton’s were lucky to find this very fine example that had been in store for many years and put it back to work in 2010.
As with all our other equipment the whole ride is hand painted to a very high standard.

Austin Cars

Ten genuine 1950s Austin J40 pedal cars that have been converted to run around a static base, giving small children the wonderful sensation of driving their own car.
The cars themselves were built by invalid miners in a factory specially set up in Wales by the Austin motor company. They offer timeless appeal with chrome-plated radiator grills, bumpers and mascots. Headlights and dashboards further add realism. This ride is further enhanced with period road signs and flashing ‘Belisha’ beacons. The control box is decorated with period car racing scenes.

The ride features hand painted decoration as well as shiny twisted brass poles. The ride can be made complete with music supplied by a 37Key organ fitted in the centre.

Juv Chairs

A small version of the large Chair-o-Planes especially for small children.
The origins if this ride are from the turn of the century. There are many examples of children’s rides built around this type of very simple and reliable design, this one having chairs hanging from the revolving frame. Each of the 24 chairs has a safety chain and strap for maximum safety and is therefore suitable for very small children. In keeping with all of our equipment the chair-o-planes are decorated by hand to the highest of standards.

Anna Kent

We recently hired your beautiful Coconut Shy for a commercial photo shoot. James and his team have been a real pleasure to work with, especially helpful and accommodating.
I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again or recommend them to anyone looking to hire beautiful vintage amusements.

David & Bridget Shepley-Cuthbert

We cannot thank you, Antony and the team for your contribution to our 40th evening and the 'Yellow Perils' 100th birthday. Most guests jaws dropped as they turned into the field. The Galloper looked magic on Saturday evening as the light faded. It gave so much joy and fun to so many. Those little cars were heaven for small children who I gather were glued to them. The Hook-a-Duck and Coconut shy each gave pleasure to all ages. A big thank you for making my mad dream of a cars birthday party come true for all ages.

Littlehampton Town Council

Thank you so much for being a part of the "Littlehampton 150th" event. The day was a success and your involvement invaluable.

Lyndsay Ridley - English Heritage

The Gallopers were beautiful and even our director commented that it made the event! Thank you ever so much.
Also, your team were great and really good with the public. A big thumbs up all round!

Robyn Paiba, Art Director

As a busy art director in film and television I am always relieved to meet suppliers who not only meet your needs but surpass them.
James and the team at Horton's were a true pleasure to work with. Their patience and good humour when responding to any demand made the job run smoothly.
They supply a wonderful product and a reliable, efficient, affordable service.

Victoria Cushing

I just wanted to write to say thank you so much for bringing the Gallopers to our wedding.
I can honestly say it made the wedding.
